Bud and Drew

I've spent a long time in the Wisconsin sports media and there aren't really many "action shots" of me working.

That's understandable, in a way, because I began my career in the Dark Ages, before everyone had a camera in their pocket. And, truth be told, pictures of me standing in front of someone with a notebook and tape recorder, or sitting in front of a laptop or a microphone don't make for compelling photo galleries.

That's why I'll treasure the picture above.

I was at the Brewers-Phillies game on Saturday night, as the Brewers honored the 1982 American League Championship team on its 35th anniversary. I was a fan of that team, and it was cool to see them gather and tell stories and tease each other about how old and out of shape they are.

Shortly before the pre-game ceremony, former Brewers owner and current Commissioner Emeritus Bud Selig popped onto the field and we had a nice chat, squeezing in a number of topics amid a visit from his granddaughter, Marissa Savitch, whom I first met when she was a toddler. (She's now a college graduate).

My buddy, Dave Bernacchi, who is a tremendous photographer, sent me this photo and I shared it with friends on social media.

Many people think that we are arguing, or that Bud was lecturing me in some way. I can't say that never happened in the more than 20 years that I've been chatting with Bud, but that wasn't the case on Saturday.

In any event, I thought it would be cool if we had a "Caption This Photo" contest. The top 5 submissions will win a Big 920 t-shirt.

Send them to me on Twitter or e-mail Drew@TheBig920.com

Have fun with it. I look forward to laughing at the submissions. Maybe I'll even share a few with the Commissioner Emeritus himself.
