UW Hockey: Former Badgers take in All-Star Weekend

MADISON, Wis. – It was a 'Super Saturday' for the current Badgers, but for four former Badgers, it was a weekend of great honors.

Over the weekend, three former Badgers played in the 61st NHL All-Star Game in Los Angeles. Teams are selected by division for the 3-on-3 tournament and UW was represented on three different teams.

Ryan McDonagh, who plays for the New York Rangers and has 28 points so far this season, was selected to the Metropolitan Division team. Ryan Suter of the Minnesota Wild, who has seven goals and 23 assists this year, was on the Central Division team while the San Jose Sharks' Joe Pavelski was placed on the Pacific Division team after scoring 16 goals and adding 26 assists through 50 games played.
