NWL: Madison, Eau Claire toss shutouts in Friday night action

Madison and Eau Claire didn't allow a single run on Friday night, while Kenosha won its fourth straight game.

Kalamazoo 1, Kenosha 7

The Kenosha Kingfish held the Kalamazoo Growlers to just one inning of scoring as they won 7-1. After Zach Stromberg (Boston College) gave up the one early run, he settled in for 5.1 while picking up his third win. Cole Erickson and Ben Lynam (Parkland CC) pitched a combined 3.2 scoreless on only two hits while striking out five to end the game.

Madison 10, Lakeshore 0

The Madison Mallards used two pitchers to shutout the Lakeshore Chinooks. Simon Rosenblum-Larson (Harvard) started from Madison and threw five scoreless for the win and Matt McCarty (Louisville) threw the final four scoreless for the save.

6-4 Second Half (0.5 GB), 24-21 Overall, tied with Madison for the final wild card spot in the South Division
