NWL: 9 wins in a row for Eau Claire; Kenosha holds on to Wild Card spot

Eau Claire has now won nine games in a row, while Kenosha is still up by two games in the South Division Wild Card standings.

Games on July 28:

Green Bay 7, Kenosha 6

The Green Bay Bullfrogs walked it off in the bottom of the ninth to defeat the Kenosha Kingfish 7-6. 

10-12 Second Half (5 GB), 32-25 Overall, 2 Games Ahead for the South Division Wild Card

Rockford 4, Lakeshore 2

The Rockford Rivets scored two early runs which helped them get ahead of the Lakeshore Chinooks and win the game 4-2.

12-10 Second Half (3 GB), 30-27 Overall, 2 GB South Division Wild Card

Wisconsin Rapids 9, Madison 6 (7 Innings) (Game 1)

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters used a six run sixth inning to defeat the Madison Mallards in a 7 inning game.

Wisconsin Rapids 5, Madison 3 (7 Innings) (Game 2)

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters broke a tie in the top of the seventh and defeated the Madison Mallards 5-3. 

11-11 Second Half (4 GB), 30-27 Overall, 2 GB South Division Wild Card

Eau Claire 13, Waterloo 5

The Eau Claire Express used the third and seventh inning to pour it on the Waterloo Bucks 13-5. The Bucks scored a pair in the top of the third, but Eau Claire responded with a six spot in the bottom half. Justin Evans (Columbus State) led the Eau Claire offense while going 4-5.

The Express have now won nine games in a row to reach first place in the North Division. If they weren't tied for the lead, they would be two games back in the Wild Card standings.

15-7 Second Half (1st in North Division - 1 GA), 30-28 Overall
