SBNation reports that Matt Kenseth, who never announced that he was retiring, will return to the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series in the Roush Fenway Racing #6 on a part-time basis.
According to Jordan Bianchi of SBNation, Kenseth's first race back will be on May 12 at Kansas Speedway.
Kenseth, a native of Cambridge, Wisconsin, had some difficult moments during the Chase, including a pit crew violation for having too many crewmembers over the wall on a pit stop that disqualified Kenseth from that race.
Trevor Bayne is the other driver of the #6 for Roush Fenway Racing.
