Eight Straight: Brewers win again, 6-2 over Royals

Another night, another win for the Milwaukee Brewers, who ran their winning streak to eight games by beating the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday night, 6-2.

Milwaukee will remain in first place in the NL Central.

Earlier in the day, the team learned that they would be without first baseman Eric Thames for a chunk of the season with a torn thumb ligament.

Milwaukee plays a four-game series with the Chicago Cubs in Chicago beginning Thursday.

Manager Craig Counsell recaps the win, and the amazing scoreless streak put up by the bullpen, now at 28 innings.
