On Opening Day of the 25th season of Northwoods League baseball, Madison, Kenosha, and Eau Claire all earned victories.
Madison 10, Wisconsin Rapids 2
The first game to go final this season was Madison defeating Wisconsin Rapids in a game where the Mallards’ offense came to life.
Kenosha 7, Battle Creek 6
Kenosha poured it on from the fourth inning on, but Battle Creek wouldn’t let up although the Kingfish won 7-6.
Kalamazoo 4, Lakeshore 3
It took Kalamazoo eight innings to get on the board and when they did, it was enough to defeat Lakeshore 4-3.
Eau Claire 7, Rochester 1
The Eau Claire Express doubled the amount of hits Rochester had and won the game 7-1.

Tonight at Warner Park, the Madison Mallards take on the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters for the second game of a two-game set after a blowout opening night win last night. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 PM and gates will open at 4:30 PM.
Lakeshore (0-1) at Kalamazoo (1-0) 10:05 a.m.
The team will look for its first win of the season as it remains in Kalamazoo for an early start time on Wednesday. First pitch is at 10:05 am CST.
Battle Creek (0-1) at Kenosha (1-0)
The Kenosha Kingfish finish their series against the Battle Creek Bombers Wednesday night at 6:35 pm CT.
Eau Claire (1-0) at Rochester (0-1)
The Express will close the series against the Honkers at 7:05 pm. They continue to La Crosse to take on the Loggers for one game before opening their home schedule at Carson Park on Friday, June 1 versus the La Crosse Loggers. First pitch of the home opener is set at 7:05 p.m.
