Baseball: Waunakee wins twice on Tuesday to advance to championship

Waunakee needed 11 innings, but topped Green Bay Preble to advance to Thursday's Division 1 state baseball championship after holding off Eau Claire North earlier in the day Tuesday.

Will Connors doubled in the go-ahead run, Taiten Manriquez, who pitched eight innings in the victory.

Earlier on Tuesday, Waunakee survived multiple rallies by Eau Claire North in the quarterfinals. You can read the recap and hear from coach Spencer Lee of Waunakee below.

The Warriors will face Arrowhead, who got a walk-off home run from Zak Karrels to win 2-1 over Janesville Craig in the bottom of the 7th inning. Waunakee is seeking their first state baseball championship on Thursday night at 6pm.
