Verona's hot start has the Wildcats in good shape early in Big 8 play, with a big match against fellow conference leader Janesville Craig to come yet this week.
Coach Kelly Annen says the returning leadership in the program, with ten varsity players back, has been a big reason why the team has started so well. Communication appears to be a strength with the team, and like any squad at the midseason point, the goal for the Wildcats is to develop consistency down the stretch. In a packed-in Division 1, with several good teams right here in the Madison area, Verona will be tested and ready for the postseason.
