Sun Prairie football hasn't looked back since opening-week loss

A season-opening loss to Madison Memorial seems like forever ago, according to Sun Prairie football coach Brian Kaminski, as the Cardinals have won all six games since that loss.

Memorial has lost one game since then as well, a setback against Verona, 28-10, in Week 6, to leave the Spartans tied with the Cardinals atop the Big 8 with two games to play.

Sun Prairie's task this week is to crash Homecoming at Middleton, in a game that annually seems to help decide the Big 8 champion, if not end up being the de facto championship game for the conference. Kaminski says that the challenge this week starts up front, and that because both teams know each other so well, that the usual building blocks of successful football will be the most important areas for execution in the game.
