Janesville Craig looks to cap off Big 8 play with a big win

Janesville Craig's already had a big year in the Big 8, going 6-2 with wins over three 2017 playoff teams from the conference, but could perhaps lock in a home game and have an outside shot at a share of the conference title if they can defeat Madison Memorial on Friday night.

Coach Adam Bunderson says the goal doesn't change for the Cougars, who have been led by an outstanding group of seniors who are mostly multi-sport stars. That group includes future Wisconsin Badger, Keeanu Benton, who is also one of the state's best wrestlers, finishing on the podium last year at the state tournament.

The Cougars' multiple-formation offense causes fits for defensive coordinators, and the flexbone option attack is led by heady, tough, two-way players. The task is tall this week against Madison Memorial, a team that executes well on both sides of the ball and has some explosiveness mixed in.

Madison Memorial at Janesville Craig is our Madison Taxi Game of the Week - Friday night at 7pm on 100.9 FM and thebig1070.com/fm.
