Sun Prairie girls volleyball back to state for second time in three years

After making state semifinal appearances in 2013 and 2016, the Sun Prairie Cardinals are back to state for the 2018 Girls State Volleyball Tournament in Green Bay.

Sun Prairie defeated Waunakee to make state and won the Big 8 Conference this year.

Coach T.J. Rantala says a number of difficult opponents in the Big 8 and in invite/tournament play has prepared them for the stage at state. The Cardinals play in one of the nightcaps, on Thursday night against Oconomowoc, at about 7:30 p.m.
