Top-seeded McFarland opens up 2018 WIAA State Boys Soccer Tournament

McFarland earned the #1 seed in the 2018 WIAA State Boys Soccer Tournament, and will take on #4 Plymouth on Thursday morning at 11 a.m.

Coach Brett Ogorzalek says the team grew quite a bit during the season, and emerged from a loaded sectional with even more experience to help the Spartans at state. McFarland is 18-4 on the year, and played several non-conference games against larger schools. Ogorzalek says success against some of the larger programs in Dane County is what earned them the top seed.

McFarland and Plymouth play at 11 a.m. The winner will play Saturday morning for the Division 3 title.
