Marquette blows out Bethune-Cookman 92-59

Markus Howard scored 37 points to lead Marquette past Bethune-Cookman 92-59 on Saturday at Fiserv Forum, and the Golden Eagles improved to 2-0 to start the season.

Theo John got his first start and finished with eight points. Sam Hauser and Joey Hauser scored 10 and 11 points, respectively, for Marquette.

The Wildcats of Bethune-Cookman were led in scoring by Isaiah Bailey with 22 points. No other player had more than five points in the contest.

Marquette hits the road for their next game, at Indiana, on Wednesday night. The schedule picks up in mid-November into December, with games against Kansas, Kansas State, Wisconsin, and Buffalo in a one-month stretch.
