Game Recap: HSBB: Oregon 72, Monroe 62

Oregon at Monroe

After trailing by 20 points in the first half, the Oregon Panthers rallied for a 10-point road win at Monroe behind 43 combined points for brothers Ethan and Erik Victorson in a 72-62 victory.

While the Victorson brothers had big games, the key shot was a three-pointer from the top of the key by Adam Yates to run the Panthers' lead to 64-60, their largest lead of the game at that point, and big steals down the stretch sealed a road conference win for Oregon.

Monroe got a monster game out of Kade King, one of the top seniors in the state, tallying 16 points and (unofficially) 23 rebounds. However, turnovers marred their second-half effort, allowing a 20-point lead to shrink to seven points by halftime before the game settled into a back-and-forth battle until about four minutes to play, when Oregon began to pull away.
