McFarland boy's soccer checks in at #4 in Division 3 coaches' poll

After a tie with Division 1's #2 squad, Verona, on Saturday, McFarland boy's soccer earned a #4 ranking in this week's WSCA Coaches' Poll.

Coach Brett Ogorzalek credits the experience of his team, returning most of its top players and nearly all of its starters from last year, as well as the work they put in with club teams and offseason workouts to be in a good position near the mid-season mark.

Coach Ogorzalek also says the new turf field at McFarland has been a huge advantage for his team, one that relies on precision and timing to work the ball up and down the field, and that the support for soccer in general in the Madison area has gone way up in a short amount of time.
