Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun will head to the 10-day disabled list retroactive to Thursday due to a left calf strain. Braun said the injury is nowhere near as bad as the one suffered by Junior Guerra on Opening Day.
In a corresponding move, Eric Sogard, an infielder, was called up from Triple-A Colorado Springs. Sogard batted .239 over six seasons with the Oakland A's.
