Brewers get closer to setting Opening Day roster

With Opening Day coming up quickly, the Milwaukee Brewers have made several moves to get their roster closer to being set for the season.

First, Keon Broxton, Brett Phillips, and Junior Guerra were all optioned to the minor leagues.

Then, the Brewers notified several players that they will not be part of the major league roster when camp breaks in the upcoming week. Christian Bethancourt, Nick Franklin, Nate Orf, Kyle Wren, and Radhames Liz will be with the team for their exhibition games against Houston, but Yovani Gallardo's return to the Brewers was short-lived, as he will be free to pursue other options.

Opening Day is March 29 at San Diego.
