In one of several moves made by the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday, Orlando Arcia was sent down to Triple-A. The Brewers also made a trade for a catcher, designating Jett Bandy for assignment.
First, the trade: Milwaukee acquired C Erik Kratz from the Yankees in exchange for a player to be named or cash. C Jett Bandy has been designated for assignment.
Then, the moves: Eric Sogard was called up from Triple-A Colorado Springs. P Adrian Houser was called up from Double-A Biloxi. Orlando Arcia and pitcher Jorge López were optioned to Triple-A.
The Brewers play the New York Mets on Friday night in Milwaukee.
