Brewers select 40 players in 2018 MLB Draft

The Milwaukee Brewers made a total of 40 selections during the 2018 First-Year Player Draft. The team selected shortstop Brice Turang (Santiago High School, California), outfielder Joe Gray (Hattiesburg High School, Mississippi) and outfielder Micah Bello (Hilo High School, Hawaii) with the 21st, 60th and 73rd picks, respectively. The Brewers made seven selections on day two and 30 on the third and final day.

It was a pitcher-heavy draft for the Milwaukee Brewers, who  selected 26 pitchers with their 40 draft picks, including 13 straight from rounds 15 through 27. The Brewers also picked up five outfielders, four infielders, four catchers, and a utility player.

The announcements were made by Director of Amateur Scouting Tod Johnson.
