Corey Knebel joins Jeremy Jeffress as Brewers relievers with injuries

Corey Knebel is having his injured elbow checked out, while the Brewers were already set to miss Jeremy Jeffress for Opening Day as the bullpen works through injuries late in spring training.

Knebel is having his elbow looked at as of Thursday, and manager Craig Counsell told reporters that the injury is a 'concern' for the team. Rumors of the Brewers' interest in Craig Kimbrel appear to be much more founded now that two former All-Star relievers are set to miss time to start the season out of the Brewers' bullpen, although they'll still have Josh Hader as well as former starters Chase Anderson and Junior Guerra part of the mix.

Milwaukee also saw some of their pitching staff depart after last season, which has elevated some of the younger pitchers to more prominent roles with Milwaukee.
