Brewers swept by Cardinals; lose 5-2 on Wednesday

A three-run home run by Marcell Ozuna pushed St. Louis past Milwaukee, as the Brewers were swept by the Cardinals in three games, losing 5-2 on Wednesday afternoon.

Eric Thames hit a home run for the Brewers, but the four-run fourth inning by the Cardinals proved to be too much to overcome.

Christian Yelich struck out as a pinch hitter in the ninth inning with the bases loaded.

The Brewers have lost seven of their last eight games as they head to New York to take on the Mets Friday through Sunday. Milwaukee is 13-13 on the season.
