Brewers miss opportunities in 5-3 loss to Twins

Squandering several early chances to score runs, the Brewers fell 5-3 to the Twins Tuesday night, wasting a solid six-inning start by Zach Davies and splitting the two-game series with Minnesota.

Davies gave up five hits across six innings of work, but kept the high-powered Twins off the board. Milwaukee's relievers yielded all five runs in a tough seventh inning, which proved to be all the Twins needed to win.

Yasmani Grandal had a triple and a solo home run, while Keston Hiura hit a two-run home run late, to give the Brewers their three runs after already falling behind.

The Brewers head to Pittsburgh for a four-game series with the Pirates beginning Thursday night.
