Brewers to make 2 selections on first day of 2019 MLB Draft

The Brewers will make two selections on the first day of the 2019 First-Year Player Draft, which begins on Monday, June 3 at 6 p.m. CT, picking 28th overall in the first round and 65th overall in the second round. This marks the fourth time that the Crew will select 28th overall (most recently in 2012). 

The First-Year Player Draft will span three days from Monday, June 3 through Wednesday, June 5 and will take place live at MLB Network’s Studio 42 in Secaucus, New Jersey. Draft coverage will begin with a Draft preview show on MLB Network and MLB.com at 5 p.m. CT on Monday, continuing on both platforms through the end of Competitive Balance Round A – the 41st overall selection.

Beginning with the first pick of the second round and continuing through the 78th overall selection, the Draft will air live exclusively on MLB.com, while MLB Network will continue to provide coverage of the Draft on MLB Tonight. The Crew’s first selection with take place on Monday at approximately 8:35 p.m. CT and their second selection will take place at approximately 10:27 p.m. CT.

Representing the Brewers at MLB Network’s Studio 42 will be Supervisor – Pro Scouting Taylor Green and Vice President – Baseball Projects Gord Ash.

The Draft will resume for rounds 3-10 at 12 p.m. CT on Tuesday, June 4 (with one-minute intervals between selections) and for rounds 11-40 at 11 a.m. CT on Wednesday, June 5 (with no time delay between selections).
