Brewers fall 8-3 in Jimmy Nelson's return vs. Marlins

Jimmy Nelson's return came in an 8-3 loss to the Miami Marlins, as the Milwaukee Brewers couldn't overcome an early 5-1 deficit at Miller Park on Wednesday night.

Nelson lasted just three innings, surrendering five runs in the loss. Adrian Houser came in for relief and also allowed one run, with Junior Guerra getting tagged for the other two in the eighth inning.

The Brewers got a run in the second inning to tie it at 1 apiece and two more in the bottom of the ninth of the loss.

Milwaukee also fell out of first place in the NL Central, as the Chicago Cubs reclaimed the top spot on the same day they signed relief pitcher Craig Kimbrel.
