Brewers fall to Pirates 6-5 on Sunday ahead of All-Star break

Milwaukee's won just nine of 26 games heading into the All-Star break, yet the Brewers remain only a half-game out of first place in the NL Central after Sunday's 6-5 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The Brewers managed to tie Sunday's game at three apiece in the seventh inning, but Pittsburgh answered with three runs off of Junior Guerra in the bottom half of the seventh inning.

Jesus Aguilar got the Brewers within a run in the top of the eighth inning with a home run, but Pittsburgh held on the rest of the way to secure the win and a series victory.

The Brewers are off until Friday, when they will host the San Francisco Giants to start a six-game homestand for three games.

Five Brewers are headed to the All-Star Game this week as well.
