Brewers pounded by Reds 14-6 on Tuesday night

A 4-0 first-inning lead for the Reds ballooned to 9-0 after the top of the fifth inning, as Cincinnati beat up the Brewers' pitching staff for 17 hits in a 14-6 win over Milwaukee on Tuesday night.

Eugenio Suarez continued his hot streak against the Brewers, launching another two-run home run as part of a three-hit night for the Reds.

Zach Davies struggled through four innings of work, allowing six runs on nine hits to take the loss. Burch Smith gave up five more runs in two innings of relief work, allowing six hits.

Jhoulys Chacin and the Brewers try to avoid the sweep on Wednesday afternoon at Miller Park. First pitch time set for 1:10 p.m.
