Christian Yelich hit a pair of solo home runs to go with his four hits to help lift the Milwaukee Brewers past the Pittsburgh Pirates 9-7 on Monday. The bottom half of the order notched seven of Milwaukee's 13 hits on the night.
That included a three-hit night for Orlando Arcia, as well as Lorenzo Cain and Eric Thames getting two hits apiece.
Milwaukee got five solid innings of work from Jordan Lyles, as he gave up only one earned run (three runs total) and allowed just two hits. Josh Hader pitched a four-out save for Milwaukee.
The win snaps a four-game losing streak for the Brewers.
Game two of the three-game series is Tuesday night.
