Brewers cruise to 6-1 win over Diamondbacks Friday

Six no-hit innings by Jordan Lyles helped carry the Brewers to a 6-1 victory over the Diamondbacks on Friday night at Miller Park in Milwaukee.

Keston Hiura and Eric Thames homered for the Brewers, as Milwaukee jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning and never looked back.

The combined no-hit bid was lost in the seventh inning, but the Brewers bullpen only allowed one run and two hits to close out the victory.

Milwaukee and Arizona tangle again on Saturday in game two of a three-game series.
