Brewers fall to Cardinals 6-3 on Tuesday night

Milwaukee's playoff chances took another hit as they lost again to the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday night 6-3. The Brewers slide to six and a half games back in the NL Central.

Adrian Houser did well, allowing just one run in five innings of work to keep the score tied at 1-1. The Cardinals got to Matt Albers for three runs in the seventh inning to open up their first lead of the game, and tacked on two more in the ninth after the Brewers chipped away at the lead with two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Milwaukee got seven hits in the contest to the Cardinals' 11.

The Brewers try to avoid a sweep in the key series on Wednesday afternoon at Miller Park.
