Milwaukee lost to Chicago 7-1 on Friday as the Brewers managed just one run on eight hits against the Cubs at Wrigley Field.
Manny Pina got three hits and Christian Yelich had a pair, but the Brewers couldn't move runners across the plate in the loss.
Chase Anderson gave up seven hits and five runs in four innings of work. The bullpen struck out five over the course of four innings, giving up two runs.
Milwaukee and Chicago meet again Saturday afternoon as the teams meet seven times in 10 days. Saturday's game will be the second of three day games at Wrigley this weekend.
