The Milwaukee Brewers lost a tough one Monday afternoon at Miller Park, falling to the Houston Astros in 10 innings 3-2.
George Springer hit a 10th-inning home run to put Houston ahead 3-2 after the Brewers had rallied with a run in the bottom of the ninth inning. Twice in the contest, Christian Yelich was called out looking at strikes, including the bottom of the tenth.
With the Cardinals and Cubs both winning, Milwaukee fell to seven back in the division and four behind in the Wild Card standings.
The Brewers gave up 10 hits in the game, including two in the 10th by Junior Guerra, who took the loss.
The second and final game of the two-game series is Tuesday night in Milwaukee.
