Milwaukee's seven-game winning streak came to a sudden end Friday night when Paul Goldschmidt and the St. Louis Cardinals bulldozed the Brewers 10-0.
Goldschmidt hit two home runs and racked up seven RBI in the victory. The Cardinals put up four runs in the third and six runs in the sixth to clinch the shutout victory.
Adam Wainwright led four pitchers in the two-hit shutout effort for the Cardinals.
The loss dropped the Brewers five games back in the division and one game back in the Wild Card with 15 games left to play in the season.
