This Was The Best Lambeau Leap Of All Time

For Packer fans, it's absolutely one of the best traditions that connects the fans to the players and the organization. The Lambeau Leap. Ever since Leroy Butler first jumped in the stands in 1993 against the Raiders, and perfected by Robert Brooks and the rest of the mid-90's Packers, its been one of the most fun traditions in all of sports. There is nothing like that moment, after a big Packers touchdown, pure pandemonium and jubilation, the hero jumps into the basket of arms of the adoring faithful.

Of all the great Lambeau Leap moments over the years, there was one that I think was the best. Unfortunately the Fox broadcast doesn't quite capture it perfectly (although John Madden does) but in the wild card playoff game against the Falcons in 1995, Antonio Freeman returned a punt for a touchdown, and it seemed like the entire team jumped in the stands after him. There were at least 9 players either in the stands or celebrating at the wall right underneath the wall. What an exciting moment, just pure pandemonium.

That was a time where there were no NFL rules for a Lambeau Leap, it wasn't illegal to make huge signs and drape them over the wall in the end zone. Now that's all gone. Although you can still Lambeau Leap of course, NFL prohibits more than one player going in. So team and double and triple leaps are a thing of the past. Anyway, click and enjoy, the best Lambeau Leap ever.
