Baseball: Sun Prairie advances to state championship game

Sun Prairie is back to the state championship game in baseball after getting two wins on the first day of the WIAA state baseball tournament. The Cardinals will face Eau Claire North for the title Thursday night at 6 p.m.

The Cardinals will be playing for their ninth state championship in 15 state appearances, and their first title since 2014. Eau Claire North seeks their second state title since winning in 2011, and the 10th state title for the city of Eau Claire.
