HSFB: Black Hawk/Warren passes early test with win over Potosi/Cassville

One of the biggest games in the state in Week 3 was Black Hawk/Warren taking on Potosi/Cassville, with the Warriors of Black Hawk/Warren earning a 24-12 victory on Friday night. Coach Cory Milz recapped the win on Football Friday Night.

Milz thought that the Warriors controlled the line of scrimmage well throughout the game, but Potosi/Cassville kept it interesting with a kick return and a couple of forced turnovers to bring it within 16-12 in the second half before a late Black Hawk/Warren score gave them the edge.

The defending Division 7 state champions are also in a new co-op with Warrens, IL, and coach Milz says he's been surprised at how smoothly the co-op has gone so far, a credit to each of the communities.
