Only three undefeated teams remain statewide in this week's WVCA Coaches Poll as the playoffs are set to begin in less than a month.
In Division 1, Oconomowoc jumped up from #4 to #1, sending Arrowhead down one notch to #2. River Falls, Brookfield Central, and Burlington round out the top five. In the Milwaukee area, DSHA and Kettle Moraine (8 and 9, respectively) are in the top 10, while Hamilton and Germantown are in the honorable mention category. In the Madison area, Watertown checks in at #6, Sun Prairie at #10, and Waunakee is in the receiving votes area. River Falls (#3) is the only northwestern Wisconsin team ranked.
Division 2 continues to be dominated by southern Wisconsin squads. Lakeside Lutheran is in the top spot, with Lake Country Lutheran, Platteville, Wisconsin Lutheran, and Edgewood in the rest of the top five. Lake Mlils, McFarland, East Troy, and Mount Horeb also make the top ten out of southern Wisconsin, while Sauk Prairie is in the honorable mention pool. No northwestern Wiscosnin teams are in this week's poll.
Division 3 saw a bit of a shake-up this week, as Howards Grove and Waterloo continue to flip-flop at #1 and #2. Undefeated River Ridge jumps all the way up to #6, while Fall Creek slides in at #8 and St. Croix Falls enters the top ten at #10. Cuba City and Wisconsin Heights are honorable mention, as well as Colfax.
Division 4's top team is Catholic Central, but in second is undefeated Clear Lake, moving up from #6. McDonell is at #3 with Columbus Catholic checking in at #5. Shullsburg is at #8 in this week's poll, with Fall River and Highland in the honorable mention pool. That's also where Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran is this week.
