Madison East football off to 3-3 start in 2019

Breese Stevens Field will be rocking Friday night as the 3-3 Madison East Purgolders host the 4-2 Sun Prairie Cardinals in a game that will impact the playoff field and the heart of the Big 8 Conference standings.

Coach Jeremy Thornton, an East alum and former quarterback in the program, has the Purgolders to three wins already in 2019, the same total as their number of wins from 2016-2018 combined. East has done it behind a powerful passing attack led by Phil Roh and a cadre of hoops stars playing wide receiver and defensive back.

Coach Thornton feels great about the match-up and has the Purgolders eyeing up a potential playoff berth, and touts the resiliency and experience of his senior-dominated squad after a pair of overtime wins this season.
