HSFB: Middleton upends Sun Prairie 35-19

Kallion Buckner ran for 234 yards with touchdown runs of 91 and 80 yards, both in the second half, as Middleton won in Sun Prairie for the first time since 2011, 35-19.

A cold, windy night affected the passing game for both teams, with Middleton opting to throw just three passes on the night, getting a pair of touchdown runs from each of Buckner and Keewon Buford as well as a recovered offensive fumble in the end zone for a score in the first quarter to boost Middleton to a two-score victory.

Middleton's defense answered the bell as well, with Marquez Winters getting an interception and Jake Pavelski racking up at least three sacks and five tackles for a loss.

With the win, Middleton moves to 6-2 and meets 6-2 Madison La Follette in a key Week 9 game that will help decide who will be in second place in the Big 8 and have a shot at hosting a playoff game and who may be on the road--or perhaps the first of a back-to-back meeting as the teams could meet again in Level 1.
