HSFB: Lake Mills excited for opportunity to play Catholic Memorial

Lake Mills gets Catholic Memorial this week, one of the best programs in the state regardless of division. The L-Cats, who have already faced top programs this year such as Menomonie, Onalaska, and Lodi, are excited for the challenge.

Coach Dan Ferkovich calls it an opportunity, pointing to the schedule that Lake Mills has had great success against.

Catholic Memorial's drop to Division 4 prompted some consternation, but the Crusaders weren't the only team to drop a division after playing in the state championship a season ago. That being said, Catholic Memorial takes on a schedule of mostly larger-school teams in Divisions 1, 2, and 3, while Lake Mills' slate has been predominantly Division 3 and 4.
