For the third time in school history and first time in 41 years, the Marshall Cardinals have won state in girl's basketball.
Marshall (27-1) defeated Amherst (26-2) 63-55 on Saturday to claim the Division 3 state girl's basketball championship. Marshall had won the Class C title in 1976 and 1977.
