The Battle for 138 is also Oregon's Homecoming this Friday night

Last year, Stoughton hosted Oregon for Homecoming in the Battle for 138. This year, it's Oregon's turn, and the Panthers have plenty at stake as they try to get back into the Badger South title race.

Oregon has already played Monona Grove, but a win over Stoughton would keep them only a game back of the conference-leading Silver Eagles. It'd also get the Panthers one win away from the postseason.

Oregon coach Dan Kissling looks at Stoughton as a team that hasn't played to its full potential yet. "You see it on film, they've been in some battles," he said, pointing to last week's Stoughton win over Monroe, a 13-6 decision. "They're big up front and that will challenge anyone."

Stoughton coach Dan Prahl confirmed those sentiments in our interview with him this week, saying that the Vikings have yet to put together a complete game.

The Panthers will be facing their fourth team with a winning record in six games, with a contest against 4-1 Watertown still looming.

Our full preview of the game is here.

Here's what Coach Kissling had to say about the game:
