DeForest pulled away late to defeat Waunakee 56-51 in Badger North action Thursday night. The Norskies remain a game back of Mount Horeb for the conference lead.

Waunakee held a 28-27 advantage on the home floor, but DeForest rallied behind 15 points in the game from Cody Riggs, 14 from Jack Bogan, and 12 from Austin Westra.

Waunakee's leading socorer was Zachary Deering with 14 points. Will Knatz added 11 for the Warriors.

The win for DeForest gave them a two-game lead on third place in the conference, as the Norskies (9-3, 6-1) are now ahead of both Reedsburg (6-5, 4-3) and Waunakee (8-4, 4-3) for second place in the conference race.
