Mike Pilch hails from northeast Ohio where he was involved in sports and theater. His passions have been sports, movies, music and useless information. He graduated with a degree in History from Youngstown State University by way of Kent State, and also graduated from the Ohio Center for Broadcasting in Cleveland.
Mike has experience doing play by play for numerous minor league baseball teams from the A through Triple-A level, has done Divison I college basketball and football at Youngstown State, as well as a background in sports talk. He is also a news anchor for WIBA-AM and WISN. He has also handled media relations duties. Pilch also spent time as a television sports anchor.
Mike enjoys a good film or tv show, and spends much of his downtime reading, watching history documentaries, playing video games and working out. He has been a contributer for the Society of American Baseball Research (SABR) and considers hmself a sports historian.
He can usually be found on weekend watching live music, hiking, running or just enjoying a long walk on a nice evening. Pilch also is a fan of live theater and improv.
