Defense, special teams, and some timely plays down the stretch got the Green Bay Packers to victory, 10-3 over the Chicago Bears, to kick off the 2019 NFL season on Thursday night.
While the offense seemed a little out of sorts, especially early in a tough, low-scoring game, the defense showed plenty of potential for this season, making big plays in the secondary and recording five sacks on the evening.
Even the punter got into the act, as J.K. Scott had a huge game, knocking down five of his nine punts inside the 20 and booming a 63-yarder in the fourth quarter to pin the Bears deep with just minutes left in the game.
