Markus Howard Stands Alone

Never is a bold word. Never is a large statement, sometimes hyperbolic. But in this case, I think it's appropriate. Last night, in his first game as a senior, Markus Howard needed 31 points to set the Marquette all-time scoring record. He scored 38, and is on his way to setting a record that I am saying right now will never be broken. He's going to obliterate the mark the way Anthony Pieper obliterated the Wisconsin High School Scoring mark. Will it be enough for Marquette to make serious noise in March? That much remains to be seen. But we are witnessing something special in Milwaukee, and he is a walking bucket.
