Jay, a Brewers fan from DeForest, got a 25x15-foot flag with a giant letter "L" on it into Miller Park and hung it in left field after the Brewers beat the Cubs 11-1 on Wednesday. Here's the story of how the flag came to be, and how it made its way into Miller Park.
Jay says that he was so annoyed by all the "W" flags held up by Cubs fans at Brewers games at Miller Park earlier in the year that he custom-ordered a $140 flag to display in the event that the Brewers would pick up a win. The display came at the perfect time on the heels of comments made by Cole Hamels about the series not being a rivalry.
