NFL Draft: Wisconsin EDGE Leon Jacobs selected by Jacksonville

With the 230th pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, Wisconsin Edge Rusher Leon Jacobs was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 7th round.

Jacobs is the fifth Badgers player to be taken in the Draft, after Nick Nelson, Troy Fumagalli, Jack Cichy, and Natrell Jamerson.

Edge rusher is at a premium in the NFL, so it was expected that Jacobs would get drafted. Perhaps the only surprising part is that it was until the 7th round that Jacobs was selected.

Jacobs projects as a situational pass rusher in the NFL. Jacksonville, it should be noted, was one of the best teams in the league at getting after the quarterback in 2017.
