Wisconsin kept it close until the final moments, when Michigan State pulled away to defeat the Badgers at the Kohl Center in Madison on Tuesday night 67-59.
Ethan Happ became the fourth player in Big Ten history to score 2,000 points and grab 1,000 rebounds in a career, and had 20 points and a dozen boards against the Spartans. It wasn't enough to overcome Michigan State, as Cassius Winston put up a game-high 23 to lead the Spartans to victory.
Nate Reuvers was the only other Badger in double figures with 11 points.
Wisconsin gets some time off until Monday night's game against Illinois. The Badgers are in fifth place after back-to-back losses to the top two teams in the Big Ten.
