UW issues statement on Quintez Cephus' readmission status

It appears at the moment that Quintez Cephus has an uphill battle to rejoin the Wisconsin Badgers football program and re-enroll at the University of Wisconsin.

According to Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, the University of Wisconsin-Madison told the lawyer for Quintez Cephus that they will make a decision on Cephus' application for readmission after the start of the semester.

According to JSOnline, the lawyers for Cephus believe the University is firmly denying Cephus the chance to return to UW.

The University then issued a statement saying that Stephen Meyer, the lawyer for Cephus, provided information that is false. You can read the statement by clicking here.

Cephus was found not guilty on two counts of sexual assault by a jury two weeks ago. Cephus was expelled from the University when the allegations were made public.
